About Swiss Cold Hardy Cactus
Swiss Cold Hardy Cactus welcomes you. The primary purpose of my website is to share information about growing cold-hardy cacti outdoors. My advice and articles are based on my empirical knowledge and extensive research over the years in French and English-language literature. I also enjoy exchanging ideas with other enthusiasts.
My favorite genus is Echinocereus, but I also love Pediocactus, Escobaria, Austrocactus, and other genera whose hardiness is often overlooked. The hardy cacti page provides specific advice for each genus.
As I love unusual plants, I also grow carnivorous plants such as hardy Droseras and Sarracenias. I also grow live sphagnum moss, which is useful for carnivorous plants and for taking cuttings. I also have tropical orchids and caudex plants such as Adenium, Dorstenia, and Uncarina.
I have been sowing seeds for several years to obtain certain species that are more difficult to find. I regularly have surplus seedlings that I offer on my webshop. On request, I can also take on search mandates for a plant that you particularly want.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact me using the form and subscribe to the mailing list to stay informed.
Enjoy your visit!
